The Stranger Things season 4 poster is beautiful and memorable, and there are many reasons why it set up these episodes perfectly.

While sometimes movie and TV show posters can be boring, that definitely wasn't the case here. The Stranger Things season 4 poster draws people in with its strong colors. There's also the fact that all the beloved characters have intense and thought-provoking expressions on their faces, which makes people curious about what is to come. What made the Stranger Things season 4 poster work so well?

The Stranger Things season 4 poster features the main characters and exciting, dramatic storylines of these nine episodes. Eleven (Millie Bobby Brown) is at the very top along with Max Mayfield (Sadie Sink) on her left and Mike Wheeler (Finn Wolfhard) on her left. This was a smart choice as Eleven is the heart of the Stranger Things story. There's also the fact that Eleven brings Max back to life in an unforgettable and important season 4 moment.

Other characters on the Stranger Things season 4 poster include Lucas Sinclair (Caleb McLaughlin), Nancy Wheeler (Natalia Dyer), Robin Buckley (Maya Hawke), Eddie Munson (Joseph Quinn), Dustin Henderson (Caleb Matarazzo), Will Byers (Noah Schnapp), Steve Harrington (Joe Keery), and Erica Sinclair (Priah Ferguson).

Jim Hopper (David Harbour) and Joyce Byers (Winona Ryder) are at the bottom of the Stranger Things season 4 poster. They are joined by Murray Bauman (Brett Gelman), Jonathan Byers (Charlie Heaton), and the hilarious new character Argyle (Eduardo Franco).

The Stranger Things season 4 poster also features bats, a Grandfather clock, The Creel house, and the van that Jonathan and Argyle drive around in.

The Stranger Things season 4 poster works so well because it hints at the plotlines featuring the characters that fans know and love. Most importantly, the poster has the Creel house right in the middle. This was a smart idea since this is one of the main Stranger Things filming locations for season 4. The characters spend a lot of time here, especially when Max and Eleven have a plan to trap and manipulate Vecna.

The Stranger Things season 4 poster is also great at showing what storylines take up more screen time than others. While Joyce and Hopper's happy reunion is a meaningful plot point, Hopper's Stranger Things character arc sometimes feels like a B plot while the A plot features Eleven and her group of friends.

The inclusion of the bats on the Stranger Things season 4 poster is also very telling. While at the time that the poster was released, fans had no idea what this meant, now everything becomes crystal clear. Even though Eddie needed more Stranger Things screen time, his death scene is one of the most incredibly emotional moments in the entire Netflix show. The bats hint at his demise as he tries to battle them while playing an amazing Metallica guitar solo.

The poster also features Vecna's face in the background, which suggests that he is a dangerous and terrifying threat throughout the whole season. Vecna chooses his victims carefully and thoughtfully, and he is never far from the main characters' thoughts.

There's a lot that movie posters can learn from the Stranger Things season 4 poster. For one thing, it looks beautiful and colorful, which makes it immediately eye-catching. This is important because if fans aren't impressed by a poster for a TV show or film, they aren't going to spend that much time thinking about it.

Stranger Things season 4 had horror influences and the Stranger Things season 4 poster has a scary and creepy vibe, which works perfectly. The poster also adds several mysterious details, which allows fans to look forward to the new episodes. The bats and the Grandfather clock, for example, are brilliant inclusions since they suggest danger. But, of course, at the time, fans had no idea what they meant.

Most of all, the Stranger Things season 4 poster includes all the major characters who are involved in the season and also suggests drama without any major reveals or spoilers. Movie posters should have more than just an image and title or, in some cases, the two main characters. For the most part, movie posters don't hint at plot points, but they should.

The poster hints at the thrilling Stranger Things season 4 ending perfectly. Now that fans have watched all 9 episodes, it's possible to say that the Stranger Things season 4 poster suggests that Eleven and her friends will be in grave danger but that they will work together to get through it.
