OnePlus Open will have 2023's highest

According to the OPPO Find N3's new specs-related leak, it will have the "highest" pixel density of not merely its own series, but of all foldable smartphones that have launched in 2023 thus far. It is now tipped to beat even the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 in this respect, even though it will also be a larger device.

The Z Fold5's new Foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X display stretches a 1812x2176 resolution across 7.6 inches for a pixel-per-inch (PPI) rating of ~373. However, according to the eminent tipster Digital Chat Station, OPPO will upgrade the N3 to a 7.82-inch main display a resolution of 2268×2440, for a PPI of ~426.

The Find N3 is also now projected to fold down to show a 6.31-inch 2484x1116 cover display on its front, which might make its footprint larger than the 6.2-inch/904x2316 Z Fold5 (if not the Honor Magic V2 and Xiaomi Mix Fold 3). However, the N3 is now backed to have hit a more or less conventional 20:9 aspect ratio with its proportions while closed.

This means the third-gen OPPO foldable flagship might have dropped the unique (and possibly Pixel Fold-influencing) shape of the Find N2, yet avoid the Z Fold-series' main criticism of being too tall for use-cases such as typing as normal.

The N3 is also now predicted to boast the recent cutting-edge switch to 24GB of LPDDR5X RAM, albeit in a special edition, with up to 16GB of RAM with 1TB of UFS 4.0 internal storage for standard models. Therefore, foldable fans may hope that a OnePlus Open with the same specs rises to challenge the Z Fold5 on the international market.
